William E. Maltais, Jr., 61, of Haverhill, (formerly of Everett, MA) passed away peacefully Friday, May 10, 2019 at Baker-Katz in Haverhill. William was born October 25,1957 in Everett, MA the son of the late William and Valma (Dwyer) Maltais. He was raised in Everett and graduated from Everett High School.
William was a successful butcher having owned and operated Chatham Street Provisions in Lynn, MA and Chatham Provisions Produce Company. He was a caring and giving man that loved to be generous to his family and friends. In his spare time, William enjoyed wood working, hunting, boating and gardening. He was an outdoorsman at heart that loved gardening and working in his yard.
William is survived by his five adoring children, Amy Maltais and partner Anthony Leal of Kingston, NH, Kayte Maltais of Haverhill, MA, Bethanne Ibarra and husband Carlos of Plant City, FL, Benjamin Maltais and partner Christie Mastriano of Salem, NH and Micah Maltais of Haverhill, MA. He also leaves behind three grandchildren, Ava, Asher and Xander, the mother of his children, Catherine (Albano) Maltais, several nieces, nephews and countless friends. William was predeceased by his sister-in-law, Carolyn Albano. He was a man that will be forever loved and dearly remembered.
A graveside service to celebrate William’s life will be held Thursday, May 16, 2019 at 11: 00 AM at Willow Grove Cemetery, 10 Whittier St, Newton, NH 03858.
