Obituary

Lynne Marie (Densmore) Favreau, 57, passed away Saturday, August 14th, 2021 at home surrounded by her loving family after a decade long battle with breast cancer. She was born January 19th, 1964 in Boston, Massachusetts to Ralph P. Densmore and Virginia (Earle) Densmore.

Lynne was a self-proclaimed Dot Rat, having grown up on Larchmont Street and Melville Ave in Dorchester. She was a student at Boston Latin, and left to work at Angell Memorial Animal Hospital. She also worked as a lighting technician in the Theatre district in Boston. Later Lynne entered the print industry as a dot etcher and color specialist working at Magenta, CGI and then Colorprep, where she met her husband Paul, whom she married on October 16th, 1993.

Lynne’s eye for color eventually led her to explore jewelry making, earning certificates in Jewelry Making and Repair from The North Bennet Street School and in Colored Stone Faceting from Gemological Institute of America. She then opened Crystal Form and Habit, a jewelry making and lapidary service in Boston.

Following the birth of her children Lynne returned to school, earning an A.A. in Early Childhood Education from New England Community College and became a private nanny, inadvertently bestowing the gift of a Boston accent to the children of several families.

She later took up writing, earning a B.A. in Writing and Literature from Union Institute and University (Vermont College), eventually becoming the co-founder of the North Shore writer’s group, the WriNoShores.

Lynne was known for a love of gardening, cooking, research, and writing. Always engaged and determined to learn new things she was a source of knowledge and wisdom for many. Generous and empathetic, she always had time to listen, and to offer advice. Lynne shared all of herself with her friends, family, and strangers, never shying away from discussing the difficulties and injustices of life, gracefully and courageously sharing her journey through the world and empowering others to do the same.

Lynne is survived by husband Paul Favreau (Haverhill, MA), daughters Eva Favreau (Haverhill, MA) and Lillian Favreau (Haverhill, MA) and a younger sister Tracey Densmore (Needham, MA). She is also survived by extended family and friends. She is predeceased by her mother Virginia (Earle) Densmore, father Ralph P. Densmore, and older sister Pamela Densmore.

Friends and family are invited to a remembrance gathering to be held at the family residence on Saturday, October 16th, 2021 from 10am-4pm. Please contact the family at 46 Rutherford Ave, Haverhill, MA 01830, (978) 372-2024. Internment services will be private.
