Richard E. Fecteau, 86, of Haverhill, passed away Friday, August 7, 2020 at Penacook Place. Richard was born March 30, 1934 in Winchendon, MA. He was the son of the late Hilda M. (Paradis) and Richard Fecteau, Sr.
Richard was a 1952 graduate of Groveland High School. He faithfully served his nation in The United States Air Force and was honorably discharged in 1961 after serving most of his time in Germany. He was employed with Western Electric for many years and worked as a Publisher for the Eagle Tribune.
Richard loved to travel and has enjoyed time in Germany, Greece, Egypt and the French Riviera. He lived in New Mexico, Arizona and Washington for some time before returning to New England. Richard was man of deep Catholic faith and a communicant of Sacred Hearts Parish in Bradford. He loved music and was a talented singer and pianist. Richard is survived by many cousins and dear friends.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours, Friday, August 14, 2020 from 10:30 AM – 11:30 AM at The Grondin-Carnevale Funeral Home 129 Kenoza Ave. Haverhill, MA 01830. Masks and social distancing will be required for attendance. A funeral mass to celebrate Richard’s life will be held immediately following, at 12:00 PM at Sacred Hearts Parish, 165 South Main Street Bradford, MA. Interment will take place at Riverview Cemetery in Groveland, MA. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Richard’s memory to EWTN Catholic Television by visiting www.ewtn.com.
