Robert J. Grondin, Jr., 69, died Friday, May 1, 2020 in the Lawrence General Hospital following complications of Covid-19.
Born in Salem on November 24, 1950, he was the son of the late Robert J. Grondin, Sr. and Avis P. (Keane) Grondin. He attended Beverly public schools, where he was a standout on the football team and enjoyed playing hockey.
Bobby was a humble man, always giving and loving. He loved to sing to his daughters and was so proud of his five grandchildren. He had the greatest smile and always strived to make those around him laugh and happy. He had a heart of gold and loved his family more than anything. He had a great view on life and his sense of humor brought light to so many people. He will be missed greatly and his memory will always be kept alive in our hearts.
He is survived by his two beloved daughters, Sarah A. Grondin of Farmington, NH and Taylor A. Grondin Wood and her husband, Brian Wood of Milton, NH; five grandchildren, twins, Matayo and Madison Grondin, Skye Grondin and twins, Isabella and Gabriella Grondin, one sister, Gail M. Grondin; two brothers, Kevin J. Grondin and his wife, Patricia and Thomas B. Grondin and his wife, Simone DaSilva; one niece, Kate Grondin, two nephews, Kevin Grondin and Zachary DaSilva – Grondin and many cousins.
Due to the current health crisis, services and a celebration of his life will be held at a later date to be announced.
