Robert W. “Bob” Perrigo, III, 62, died Friday, April 24, 2020 at his home surrounded by his loving family, following an extended battle with lymphoma. He was the beloved husband of Joan (Muise) Perrigo.

     Born in Beverly on November 3, 1957, he was the son of Constance (Foxcroft) Perrigo of Essex and the late Robert W. Perrigo, Jr. A lifelong resident of Essex, Bob was a graduate of Essex Agricultural School.

     Bob was a self-employed commercial clammer for many years. He had also once owned and operated Robert Perrigo Landscaping for several years. He was a member of the Shellfish Advisory Board.

     In addition to his mother and wife of thirty-nine years, he is survived by his daughter, Emily Cogswell Perrigo of Denver, CO; three brothers, Peter F. Perrigo and his wife, Celeste of Berwick, ME, John F. Perrigo and his wife, Matilda of Warwick, RI and David R. Perrigo of Glover, VT; father and mother-in-law, Gerry and Mary Muise of Essex; three sisters-in-law, Jean Toby and her husband, Bruce and Colleen Tofuri all of Essex and Leanne Perrigo of Beverly; two brothers-in-law, Glenn Muise and his wife, Ann of Kingston, NH and Skip Lane of Ipswich and twenty nieces and nephews. He was also predeceased by his sister, Cathy Perrigo and sister-in-law, Crystal Lane.

     His funeral services will be privately held in the Spring Street Cemetery, Essex. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to the Essex Fire Co., 24 Martin St., Essex, MA 01929.
